Each DIY Ornament Kit comes with the supplies to make a tree AND your choice of a boy or girl gnome ornament. Please choose your additional option in the drop down boxes. Each ornament is approximately 4.25” tall.
Each kit comes with 2 ornaments, 6 paint colors, 2 paint brushes, twine for hanging, 2 beads, and tacky glue. The paint is a quick dry matte acrylic paint (Apple Barrel brand.) Two coats of paint should be plenty to get good coverage. For extra protection to your paint, a clear matte or satin water based spray sealer can be applied after assembling the ornaments but prior to adding the twine and bead. (Spray sealer not included in the kit.) The glue is a washable tacky glue and takes about 5 minutes to set up. Longer dry time required for it to fully cure.
Paint colors included: white, red, dark green, light green, brown, and yellow.
The frame and backside of each ornament comes sanded and finished with a satin acrylic finish. The base piece comes scored with lines for easier assembly. The pieces are large enough for small children although not intended for children who put small items in their mouths and supervision is recommended. The easiest method for assembly is to glue the frame to the base first, then after that has set, glue on the individual pieces. The frame should be glued down to the side of the base with the scored lines. You can paint all the individual parts including the frame and base for a truly custom look or you can just paint the inner pieces for a polished look.
